The European Journal of Open, Distance and E-Learning (EURODL), launched in 1995 an online journal on distance and e-learning, publishes the accounts of research, development and teaching for Europe in its most inclusive definition, exploring the potential of electronic publishing. Furthermore, EURODL presents scholarly work and solid information about open, distance and e-learning, education through telematics, multimedia, on-line learning and co-operation.
The journal is also an interactive platform - a place where you may comment, find links to interesting sites, prepare for conferences or look up conference documentation.
EURODL has been launched and is supported by EDEN – the European Distance and E-learning Network.
In 2007, six international scientific journals, including EURODL, launched a common call for papers on the theme "Distance education and the right - or access - to education", with the objective of collecting a common set of references on research from all over the world in the field of distance education and of its impact on access to education.
The final texts selected by the EURODL (peer reviewed) are now published.
The EDEN Executive Committee recently decided the re-organisation of the EURODL Editorial Board. The EDEN Executive Board and the Chief Editor gratefully acknowledges and appreciates the work around EURODL offered by the leaving members of the Editorial Board. You can consult the list of the new Board.
EURODL is free to readers and contributes to the Open Content movement.
Subscription is possible by joining the EURODL mailing list. You will receive notification on the availability of new journal issues and related news from EDEN
